Y3W: A Christmas Tradition

Every year (since I was little) my family has gone to Ronnie's Market to look at their Christmas trees.  For those not from around here, they have a bunch of Christmas trees all decorated in different themes: Snowmen, fishing, dancing, Irish, even a wine themed tree, all kinds of themes!

We would go and look at the trees and then we would all pick a new ornament to hang on our Christmas tree.  It's funny, looking back through our ornaments, we could always and can still remember whose was whose.

Patrick and I have continued this tradition with our kids and Tuesday night, despite the yucky weather, we bundled up and that's where we headed.  Emma thought the trees were fabulous and we heard lots of "wow's!" from her. :-)  Aiden was pretty excited too and probably would have run all over the place if we would of let him.

After looking all around at the pretty lights and trees, everyone made their selections.  Here's our new 2011 ornaments:

My new ornament

Patrick's pick

Aiden's ornament

And in honor of Aiden's first year of playing soccer

We had an ordeal with that darn soccer ornament...in which I may not have taught Aiden the best lesson, but we'll leave that for another post. :-)
