WW: My Little Helper

**Please ignore the mess in the background! Those blankets don't often leave Aiden's side and the potty? Who's doesn't sit in the living room? :-)

See? I Can Be Crafty!

If you are on pinterest, then you know that there are millions of fabulous ideas on there.  I've pinned probably more than I can count, thinking that some day I'll do that.  What they don't always mention is that you have to go buy supplies for these crafts and sometimes you need a lot and they aren't always cheap. So unfortunately while some of them are super cute, I'll just never actually get around to making them.

One day I did see a little craft for fall/Halloween time.  They had painted their child's foot to look like a candy corn.  I thought it was adorable! And, I love a craft where you can use their hands or feet to be able to look back one day and see just how little they once were.  I made up my mind that this would be one craft that I was doing.  I loaded the girls up and we headed off to Michael's to get our supplies. I was reminded while I was there once again why I don't do these crafts.  The aisle's of Michael's aren't really for a double stroller, especially one with Emma in the front grabbing everything off the shelves while I'm trying to push the stroller with a shopping basket on my arm, while trying to keep Aubrey from fussing, to be topped off with hearing Aubrey going #2.  Lovely.  Yes, this is why I don't do these things. :-)

Even though it was a task to get what I needed, I have to say I love the final product!!

See? I can be crafty!

The Sweetest Smile

It's hard to catch, but Patrick finally caught that sweet little smile the other night when I was talking to Aubrey.

I know, I almost died of the cuteness too! <3

Potty Update

The other day I mentioned that out of the blue Emma decided she would pee on the potty.  I can't believe it, but she's been doing awesome ever since!! Yay Emma!

We took her up to the store and let her pick out her new big girl undies and she's been wearing them around the house ever since.  Now I'm not crazy! She doesn't wear them if we go to Aunt Kelly's or anywhere else. Though I did let her wear them once to go pick Aiden up because she had just used the potty.

So far? She's had 3 accidents.  Twice she's peed and not been on the potty and once? Yup, she hid in the laundry and pooped on the floor.  Luckily for me, Daddy found that one! :-)  It doesn't exactly surprise me that she wants nothing to do with pooping on the potty yet.  When we were potty training Aiden it was a good 6 months after peeing on the potty all the time before he would even consider #2 on there.  So for now she has been going before we put the underwear on in the morning or before we take the pull-up off after nap.

I can't believe she's doing so well! I knew she could do it, we just had to wait for her to decide that she wanted to!

Potty training is hard work!!!

WW: 1 Month Comparisons

When I was writing Aubrey's 1 month stats post the other day, it got me wondering how she compared to Emma and Aiden at that age, so I thought each month I would try and do a comparison post.

Aiden at 1 month:

Weight:  11 lbs 11 oz
Height:  23 inches

Emma at 1 month:

Weight:  9 lbs 13 oz
Height: 21 1/4 inches

Aubrey at 1 month:

Weight: 10lbs 3 oz
Height: 22.24 inches

The funny thing is that Emma was our biggest baby (7 lbs 13 oz) and at one month, she was the smallest. Aubrey was our littlest baby (7 lbs 2 oz) and has jumped right up there, not too far away from Aiden which was 7 lbs 12 oz at birth.

Do you think they look alike at all? I can never tell!

I'm interested to see how they compare as Aubrey keeps growing!

Potty Time?

I'll admit, I've thought about starting potty training with Emma.  She's a smart girl and I know she totally gets when she needs to go to the bathroom.  I even attempted potty training for a couple of days at the end of my pregnancy with Aubrey.  It may have only been for an hour and then I quit, but, hey, I tried!

Since Aubrey arrived, it hasn't crossed my mind much. I've got plenty going on without stressing about the darn potty. Plus, Em's only 2.  Aiden wasn't interested in using the potty until he was 3, so I figure I've got time.

Last night after dinner, I found Emma running around in the living room butt naked, as she loves to do anymore. Whatever, no biggie. I told her that she better not pee on my floor and she better use the potty.  This is something I often say to her and she doesn't pee on the floor, but she doesn't pee on the potty either.  A little later, I was sitting down feeding Aubrey while Patrick was doing some work on the computer and here she came in the room saying she had to pee.  Yeah, right I thought, but I told her to grab her froggy potty.  She did and much to our surprise, she went!!! Yay Emma!!! M & M's were in order for a celebration.

This morning, I decided to let her run around with no bottoms on and she went again! On her own! I was in the kitchen getting dinner ready for the crockpot.

Could it be time to officially start the training?!  Yay Emma! Another proud Mommy moment!

He Can Read! :-)

The other day Aiden came home from school with his reading book. His homework was to read it at least 3 times and send it back.  I was completely surprised when he could read it without any help from me! Proud Mommy moment!! Emma wanted to know what all the fuss was about so here he is reading it to her.

I can't wait to see all the other things he's learning in kindergarten!

Aubrey's 1 Month Stats

I can't believe that Aubrey has already turned 1 month! Seriously, the days are just flying by.  I truly wish there was a button to push that would just slow things down!!

She is getting to be so big! I love a chubby baby and this girl has got her rolls going on! <3 She loves to eat, like all the time! Currently, she's eating 4 oz every 3-4 hrs, but there are times when she is ready to eat at only 2 hours since the last feeding.  It's tough to convince her to wait! Luckily she isn't nearly as spitty as Emma was! Hopefully she stays that way!

She still likes to take her naps during the day and prefers them to be in your arms, but with 2 other kids around, that's not always an option. At night, she'll usually fall asleep around 7:30-8 and stays that way until we wake her up to feed her before we go to bed. Then she'll usually only wake up once to eat in the middle of the night.  (And let me say that I have the best husband around because he's been getting up with her way more than I have for those late night feedings.  Thanks babe! Love you!)

She still takes the pacifier which is a miracle because neither one of our other two wanted anything to do with it. She also now enjoys a bath. The screaming now waits until she's done and has to get dressed. :-) She's starting to find her voice and will occasionally "talk" to you and gives those big gummy grins when you talk to her.  Melt. My. Heart.  I live for those little smiles!

Overall, she's a wonderful baby! But, we already knew that she would be! <3

Here are her stats from her doctor visit on Tuesday:

Weight:  10 lbs 3 oz  (74th percentile)
Height:   22.24 in  (85th percentile)
Head Circumference: 15.16 in  (78th percentile)

Voshell's Campground

This past weekend, my family and I loaded up our campers and made the long journey over to my uncle's house to camp for labor day weekend. By long journey, I mean about 5 minutes for us. :-) Hey, it's the perfect trip! You're close to home if you need anything or something happens, and we don't have to pay camping fees like we would if we went to an actual campground (though we truly believe this one is legit too).

Of course the weather was beautiful, until we went...that's when the disgusting, hot, sticky weather came back.  Mother Nature apparently doesn't care for us.  The kids didn't care, they ran and ran all day, covered in dirt! And? This was our first camping trip with Aubrey.  I was really worried about how that would go since she only turned a month old while we were there.  Thankfully, it went really well! She napped in the air conditioned camper most of the time and didn't wake the kids up when she woke up in the middle of the night.  Yay! And plus also!? This was the first trip that I could actually have some adult beverages...Ahhhh, that was nice! :-)

Here are some pictures from our trip:
