Emma's a crab

While we were camping we walked down to the little beach they have there.  There was a picnic table sitting on the sand and we thought it was a perfect opportunity to get a picture of all the kids together.  Emma, however, was NOT having it.  She had quite the whiny attitude at this point in the day.  These pictures just crack me up to see how angry she got and how concerned Ava was about it.  :-)

Hahaha  What a little stinker! I don't know what was going on with her, but a little bit after this, she had some M & M's from the store and didn't whine again for the rest of the trip.  It's amazing what a little chocolate can do for a girl. :-)

Baby 3 - 26 Weeks!

This week I went to the doctor for regular appointment. Everything looked and sounded great.  I mentioned that I noticed at our ultrasound that the tech had typed in breech a couple of times on some of the pictures she was getting.  She assured me that we still have plenty of time for the baby to flip around and get facing the right direction.  She told me that most babies don't flip until closer to the end of the third trimester.  I realize that might be true, but it still stresses me a little because neither of my other two were ever breech (that I know of anyway).

I also had my glucose testing done.  Thank goodness they had fruit punch, I don't think I would be able to choke the orange stuff down.  And I may have unknowingly sabotaged myself into the 3 hour test for some peace and quiet all by myself.  I wasn't thinking the night before my test and ate a big snickers bar.   Mmmmm. Sadly, if I fail, it might have been worth it! ;-)

They also scheduled me for my next appointment and I'm already to the point where I have to go bi-weekly!! What?!?! I told the lady that she must be wrong, that I can't be to that point yet! She assured me that I am.  Wow!! Time is flying! I better get my butt in gear!!

Tall Pines Camping Trip 2012

Last week, maybe 2 weeks ago by the time I get this posted, a group of us (us, my cousin, Aimee & her family, and my cousin/friend Kelly and her family) headed down to Tall Pines in Virginia for our first camping trip of the season. Last year when we went we had really yucky, rainy weather the first day which left the rest of the days kind of muddy.  This year, however, no rain showed up and we had gorgeous weather.

I was worried about how Emma would do and she was quite the little diva demanding walks constantly.  She would climb in her stroller or the wagon and yell, "Walk".  I think if we had never showed her the playground, she wouldn't have minded staying at the campsite, but once she knew the playground was there and it wasn't far away, she wanted to be there all the time.

Aiden had a great time playing with his cousins/friends.  They pretty much hopped from camper to camper playing inside but did enjoy the playground and riding their bikes.  They also loved to throw things in the fire and watch it burn.  Little pyros just like their parents! :-)

I had a great time relaxing, hanging out around the fire, and eating. :-) Hey, that's what you're supposed to do when camping.  I didn't really do much but by the time we got home, I was exhausted.  Actually, I'm still exhausted and it's been almost a week since we've gotten home (when I'm writing this anyway). I'm not a huge drinker, but it's definitely going to be a long camping season being pregnant!! :-)

Here are some pictures from our weekend:

Easter 2012 Recap

I have a few things to catch up on since I was super lazy after our camping trip (which I also still have to post about). Here's one that I haven't gotten around to writing until now...

Easter was a beautiful day.  The kids got up and we had to check out what Mr. Easter Bunny left them.  Emma had the best reactions.  At almost everything she pulled out of her basket, she was, "Ooooh!", "Wow!", "Look!". Good job Easter Bunny, good job.

After finishing around here it was time to go to the big egg hunt at my Aunt's sister's house.  She goes all out for the kids and we have such a good time.  The Easter Bunny puts out plastic eggs filled with goodies for all the kids.  He uses a specific sticker for each kid so they know which eggs are theirs. Before the hunt starts she reads a letter from the Easter Bunny to let the kids know what they should be looking for.  This year we were sparkly stars and frogs.  Everybody had to find 24 eggs so that bunny must work hard all year long.  And this year we actually found all of our eggs!

From there we went to my grandmother's for Easter dinner where I stuffed myself full of yummy foods!

Like I said it was a beautiful day.  Of course I took a million pictures so I'm trying to narrow it down to just a few of my favorites.
